What are your office hours?

Monday - Friday: 9-5 
Saturday: 10-2
Evenings: By appointment only
Appointments are not necessary to drop off instrument repairs. If you need to meet with a technician, an appointment is necessary. To set up an appointment please call, (781) 271-1189, during office hours.

 

Do you repair non-rental instruments?

Yes. Our shop is equipped to repair all band and orchestral instruments.

 

Can I bring my instrument to Wayland?

Unfortunately, no. Now that we have relocated to Bedford, we no longer conduct any business out of our Wayland residence.

 

Do you provide pickup and drop off of non-rental instruments?

Yes, we will provide pick up and drop off at any “Participating Schools." There is a $25 charge for this service. Once we have the instrument in store we will call you with an estimate. Payment is due prior to delivery. Payments can be made either with a credit card or by leaving a check at the school. Instruments will not be returned without payment arrangement.

 

Will you deliver accessories to my child’s school?

Yes, we will deliver accessories to a participating school the next time we are there. If you prefer, we can mail accessories to your residence for a small fee.

 

My teacher says that only a quick fix is needed, can you fix my instrument while I wait?

In most cases, no. What may seem to be a simple fix to one person could actually be an underlying cause to a larger problem.

How long will it take to repair my instrument?

Without seeing the instrument we cannot determine length of time or cost. We liken it to taking your car in for service, unless we can hear the “clinking” noise, we cannot pin point the problem. Our technicians thoroughly test the instruments and check them to be sure they work properly. This process takes time, but is worth the wait. We know that your instrument is important to you and we try our best to accommodate your schedule.

 

Do you have a loaner I can borrow while my instrument is being repaired?

Yes, we offer loaners for $15. Please call our office for availability.

 

How much will it cost to repair my instrument?

How can I pay for my repair?

Leonards Music is set up to accept most payment methods. Please see our “Payment Options” page for more information.

 

 

How Can I Return My Instrument and Cancel My Contract?

Please call or e-mail us to schedule a pick up at your child's school.  Please do not leave the instrument at the school without notifying Leonards Music. Once we receive your instrument, you will no longer be responsible for payments. No money will be returned to you. We do suggest keeping the instrument over the summer if your child plans on continuing in the fall.


How do I know what size string instrument my child will need?

Your strings teacher can measure your child, you can bring your child to Leonards Music to be measured by one of our staff, or you can visit our this link  to measure at home.  Measuring Your Child for a String Instrument
